Donors to the scholarship understand:

- For an endowed scholarship to be established, the University must receive commitments totaling $100,000 by December 31, 2025. Should that amount not be received in that time period, but gifts total at least $30,000, a current use scholarship will be established with the above name and below purpose, and will support students over their four-year college experience. If gifts are less than $30,000 by December 31, 2025, the gifts received will support the existing President’s Scholarship Fund in memory of Michael Gill and will be expended over a period of two years from that date.

- Should a scholarship be established, either endowed or current use, the fund will support students from Chaminade College Prep High School in St. Louis, MO. If no such student exists, then awards can be made to a student from any Catholic high school in St. Louis, MO. All student recipients must be in good academic standing.

- Should an endowed fund be established, the principal of this fund will be held in perpetuity and the annual endowment payout, a percentage that is determined and approved annually by the University’s Board of Trustees, will support the fund’s purpose. The first award will be made when earnings become available after the minimum endowment for a named fund has been received.
